J. Goodison Company Inc, of North Kingstown, RI, recently purchased a new 820C Marine Travelift making it the largest lift in all of the Northeast. The full-service marine operation is incorporating the 820 ton machine at its Quonset Point facility, once it's delivered in spring of 2016. The expanded shipyard will service NOAA ships, U.S. Coast Guard cutters and icebreakers, as well as tugboats, barges, passenger ferries, dinner cruise ships, commercial fishing boats and more. Congratulations to the J. Goodison team!
Above are several images of the brand new 75 BFMII lift that was installed at Billings Diesel & Marine in Stonington, Maine. Harlan Billings, president of Billings Diesel and Marine Services, purchased the new lift to complement the 35 BFMII they currently have. The new lift allows for an additional 10 feet of depth below grade and Marine Travelift’s signature top beam extension. This improvement allows the ability to haul both wide and tall boats with high superstructures. Billings’ machine has been running for a couple months now and claims that he is happy with his investment and considers “Marine Travelift to be second to none."
